Myota was founded by cybersecurity veterans, computer science engineers, and serial entrepreneurs with the belief that you should control your data — not vendors or cybercriminals.
In an era where ransom attacks are increasing in frequency and sophistication, system outages have become more significant, and the specter of AI-driven errors looms, the assumption that data infrastructure can be trusted is demonstrably wrong.
Consider the vulnerability of data backup. With 96% of attacks now explicitly targeting backup repositories, successful compromise of passive backups occurs in over 57% of incidents. The traditional "3-2-1" strategy has become a costly liability. Organizations now face a dangerous irony: by relying on redundant copies across various media, they are paying a premium to multiply their own attack surface.
Born in the research labs at Princeton University, Myota's Shard and Spread™ cyberstorage technology has introduced a fundamental shift in how we protect data and ensure data availability in the face of attack, outage, and errors. By shifting from a focus on post-attack recovery to one of architectural immunity, Myota is changing the way enterprise data is protected.
